Indoor Features
This beautiful 6,000 square foot home contains many special features to improve the home owner’s quality of life. This home contains three bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a large living room, a great room, a master dining room, and a study. The home was built with custom dome ceilings that contain painted accents and lighting. Inside the home a large glass view way was strategically place between the log accents to give one of the best views of Pikes Peak ever seen. The home contains all custom made granite onyx counter tops that light up. In the kitchen there is custom under cabinet lighting. All of the appliances were hand picked to insure the best quality. Throughout the house there is a total of 3 giant fireplaces one being a two way fireplace. The home contains 1 3/4″ custom built 8 foot doors. All of the windows and glass doors in the house are made with Aspen designed, sand blasted glass. The house is all custom wired to provide home theater sound inside and outside. In the house are all Amish hand made hard wood floors to add to the home’s unique beauty. This mountain lodge also contains a large 2,800 square foot garage. Inside the garage there is a retractable 36 inch stairway that drops down automatically and leads into a fully finished attic area.
Outside Features
This house was built with custom curved roofs designed to last longer in our mountain climate. The outside of the home was done with all hand cut, 3 sided rock with no mortar used. The design of the house also featured unique log accents that are hand cut and made to provide structural support to the house and add an exquisite look to the home’s design. The home features a specially designed 2,500 square foot outdoor living area. The outside living space uses a gas fired outdoor lantern for light and includes a gas grill and a custom wired television/stereo set up. Also in the yard is a 100 foot long stream that is made to not freeze and continue running all year long to add to the property’s peaceful atmosphere.
Added Efficiency Features
This custom mountain lodge was built to be extremely efficient. The house was built with custom 1 foot thick walls. Inside theses walls, 1 foot thick microlamb added R60 insulation was used. The home uses an in floor heating boiler that was engineered with high tech efficiency. The lighting and custom wired electrical system keeps this home at an amazingly low electricity bill staying around $200 per month.
