One of MC Hammer Inc.’s nicest projects is this truly custom mountain home built in Woodland Park, CO. This custom home is 3,000 square feet and has an amazing view of Pikes Peak through strategically placed custom made log beams. Some of the custom features include hand cut, three sided rock with no mortar that took months to piece together by hand. This home was also custom made to be extra efficient with 1 foot thick walls to keep it cheaper to heat in the cold winter months. Indoor Features
This beautiful 3,000 square foot one level, ranch style home contains many special features custom designed by the home owner. This home contains three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Inside the home a large glass view way was strategically placed between the custom made log support beams to give one of the best views of Pikes Peak from any house in the area. The home was built with custom dome ceilings that contain painted accents and lighting. The home contains all custom made 2.5 inch granite onyx counter tops that light up. The home contains a huge fireplace and custom made front doors. The house is all custom wired to provide home theater sound inside and outside. All of the bedrooms and the rest of the living area contains accented LED lighting This mountain home also contains a rather large 1,200 square foot garage.
Outside Features
This house was built with a custom multi roof with ten roof lines to last long in our mountain climate. The outside of the home was done with all hand cut, 3 sided rock with no mortar used. The design of the house also features unique log accents that are hand cut and made to provide structural support to the house and to add an exquisite look to the home’s design. The home features a specially designed 1,500 square foot outdoor cement block patio area. The outside living space has a huge 2 way fireplace and a custom wired television/stereo set up.
Added Efficiency Features
This custom mountain lodge was built to be extremely efficient and to be able to handle the area’s rough winter weather. The house was built with custom 1 foot thick walls. Inside theses walls 1 foot thick microlamb added R60 insulation was used. The home uses an in floor heating boiler that was engineered with high tech efficiency. The home also contains all three pane intense windows. The efficient lighting and electrical system inside this home keeps the electricity bill amazingly low staying around $130 per month.
